What type of card controls do I have with my BP Business Solutions Program?
The BP Business Solutions Fuel Program offers the ability to set spending limits on each card to preventing overspending. For example, you can limit spending on each card to 2 fuel transactions per day, or 25 gallons per day.
The BP Business Solutions Fuel Plus Program offers several controls so you can monitor and limit employee spending:
• Set spending and usage limits for each card by day, and by week, such as 2 fuel transactions per day, 25 gallons per day or 500 gallons a week
• Require Driver Identification Numbers (DINs) before every purchase for added security (DINs are similar to PINs and will protect your account if it ever becomes lost or stolen)
• Set cards to prompt for DIN and odometer reading to monitor and track fuel usage
• Restrict purchases during non-business hours
• Immediately shut off lost or stolen cards or request new cards through a secure website
• Use exception reports to identify and help prevent unwanted purchases
• View real-time account data information online 24/7
• Monitor and track purchases using a variety of detailed reports available, sorted by exception, driver, vehicle, MPG readings or several other options.
The BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel Program offers almost the same controls as the BP Business Solutions Fuel Plus Program:
• Set spending and usage limits for each card by day, and by week or month, such as 2 fuel transactions per day or a total of $100 fuel purchases per day
• Require Driver Identification Numbers (DINs) before each purchase for added security (DINs are similar to PINs and will protect your account if it ever becomes lost or stolen)
• Set cards to prompt for DIN and odometer reading to monitor and track usage
• Odometer prompting will also allow you to see how many miles per gallon your vehicle takes
• Immediately shut off lost or stolen cards, request new cards or add and delete DINs through a secure website
• Use exception reports to identify and help prevent unwanted purchases
• View real-time account data information online 24/7
• Monitor and track purchases using a variety of detailed reports available, sorted by exception, driver, vehicle, MPG readings or several other options.

Are there any membership fees associated with these fleet fuel cards?
The BP Business Solutions Fuel Plus and BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel Programs cost $10 per month for their extensive features. This fee is waived for customers purchasing 5,000 or more gallons of fuel per month. There is no monthly membership fee associated with the BP Business Solutions Fuel Card.
Can I earn rebates?
Rebates are offered to BP Business Solutions Fuel Plus and BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel cardholders on fuel purchases at BP branded locations. Monthly gallons for gasoline and diesel are totaled separately and the rebate is based on the chart shown. Diesel rebates are capped at 2.5 cents per gallon.

How can I determine what spend limit is best for my business?
A few simple calculations will get you to the optimal spend limit for your business. Determine how many times per week a typical vehicle in your fleet needs gas, and how much they buy (in dollars or in gallons). Multiply that by the number of vehicles, and by 6 weeks so you are sure to have the spend limit you need. For example, Business A has 5 vehicles, and each vehicle fills up 2 times each week. A typical fill up is 18 gallons. 5 vehicles x 2 fill ups x 18 gallons x (price of fuel, for example $2.75 per gallon) x 6 weeks = $2,970 in spend limit requested.
Can the BP cards be used at other locations besides BP?
The BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel Program can be used at any fueling location that accepts MasterCard® cards - over 200,000 locations nationwide. The BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel Program can also be used at participating ARCO locations. In some cases the BP Business Solutions Universal Fuel Program allows purchases at maintenance locations. Call 800-348-7959 for details. Is there tax exempt reporting available on any of the BP fuel management programs?
Tax exempt reporting is available only for the BP Business Solutions Fuel Plus program. Tax exempt reporting is available for qualified accounts. In order to be eligible, you must provide a state tax exemption certificate. Only fuel purchases are tax exempt and included on the report. A 1% service fee applies
